The 24 Challenge® Math Program is a tournament-style competition based on the 24® game. More than five million pupils have participated in regional events during the past 12 years. Competitions showcase students of all backgrounds. Using funds provided by corporate sponsors, packages of mathematics materials are sent to schools. The packages contain 24® games, posters, certificates of achievement and items for teachers to use as classroom incentives and for students to take home. Also included are rules, registration forms and letters from sponsors and program partners. Over a period of months, teachers use the 24® game in their classrooms to help students hone their mathematics skills. Schools hold playoffs to determine which students will advance to the regional competition. Approximately 200 students will compete at three different grade levels for “bronze,” “silver” or “gold” medals, prizes and Championship Trophies. Each participant receives a complimentary 24® game, an official 24 Challenge Champion T-shirt and a program. |
